Visitors’ Guide to Worship
WELCOME!
God loves you and we are glad that you have chosen Grace Presbyterian Church to spend time in worship with us.
The constitution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) suggests that worship be ordered in terms of five major actions centered in the word of God (gathering around the word, proclaiming the word, responding to the word, the sealing of the word, and bearing and following the word into the world), but recognizes that “other orders of worship may also serve the needs of a particular church and be orderly, faithful to Scripture, and true to historic principles.”
Worship services at Grace Presbyterian are liturgical and filled with music. Our Celebration Service begins at 8:15 a.m. This service is contemporary and the music by our Praise Team is spirit-filled using contemporary music, guitars, keyboard and percussion. The service is liturgical but slightly more informal than the Traditional Service at 11 a.m.
The Traditional Service at 11 a.m. features wonderful music from our choir and Director of Music. Our worship is also enhanced regularly by our bell and chimes choir. Although this service is also liturgical, it is more traditional.
Both services last about one hour and include music, children’s time and a thoughtful, Scripture-based sermon from the pastor. Child care is available.
Come sing with us, pray with us and worship God. Join us!
