Church Cleanup Day – June 9th

The church building and grounds need a good sprucing up. Our summer clean day is Saturday, June 9th, from 9:00 am until noon. There’s a need for lots of hands and hearts to help make our church shiny and bright. There are jobs for all ages and abilities. Come and share in the fun

Alpha is Coming at Grace!

What is Alpha?

Alpha gives everyone the opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course usually meets once a week for 10 weeks, including a one-day or weekend getaway. Sessions begin with a meal, followed by a short talk and time to discuss what’s been taught.

During the discussion, everyone is welcome to contribute their opinions and no question is considered hostile or too simple. Questions might include—Is there a God? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going?

The Alpha Course at Grace will be offered to everyone with a dinner in the Sanctuary once a week on Tuesday evenings starting in Fall 2012. Child Care will be provided!

WALK . RUN . CARE

Come spend some time with us in a family environment. Let’s exercise a little and chat a little more.

Encouragement and Nurture ministry has formed a new group and hopes to get everyone in the church involved! Join us every Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for our new Run/Walk Teams. We meet at S. J. Stovall Park (2800 W. Sublett Road, Arlington, TX) for a short devotional, stretching and a walk or a walk/run. We promise to start slow!

Run & Walk Group, Pace: 12-14 min/mile, Goal: 3 – 6 miles
Walk Group, Goal: 3 – 5 miles

Prayer Vigil

The Grace Presbyterian Worship and Pastoral Care Ministries are sponsoring a Prayer Vigil around-the-clock in half-hour intervals between the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday worship services on Apri 5-6, 2012.

To participate, sign up on the bulletin board to reserve your time to pray as part of the official vigil and reflect on Jesus, his crucifixion and resurrection. It is also a time to pray for our church, its session, Pastor Craig and the PCUSA denomination.

Monday Night Bible Study

John Ortberg is a pastor at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in Menlo Park, California. He was the interviewer in the just completed video study of Dallas Willard’s “The Divine Conspiracy,” and is the bestselling author of “When the Game Is Over,” “It All Goes Back in the Box,” ” The Life You’ve Always Wanted,” and “If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat.” He and his wife Nancy, have three children.
