General Meeting

Join us for a SWAP and SHOP night!  Do you have something around your house that is headed for your garage sale pile?  You loved it for a while, but now you are ready to part with it.  All of us have “treasures” like this.  Our WOG meeting next week will be your opportunity to bring one or more of your “treasures” to “share” with others.  There will be ample time to SHOP … and because we are Presbyterians, we will do the SWAP part of this decently and in order!  If you bring one item, you go home with one item.  If you bring two items, you may go home with two items … you get the idea!  Come and join the FUN, eat some FOOD, and enjoy the FELLOWSHIP.  It will be like our own private garage sale for FREE!

To help Rev. Sanders get to know us – and for us to get to know Craig and his family, we are scheduling a series of small group sessions over the next few months.  Join us in one of these small group sessions – each hosted by a different member or family of Grace.  The formats are different – feel free to sign up for the session that you are most comfortable with.  If you have any questions contact Kathy Bayona at 972-642-5535 or kathybayona@yahoo.com

 Cub Scouts will be hosting a Garage Sale this Saturday, April 17 from 8:00 a.m. – noon.  They will be at Grace Friday night from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. receiving items for the Garage Sale if you would like to make a donation.

 Spring Cleaning?  Place your items in Bert’s Big Box to be donated to either Arlington Charities or Mission Arlington.  Accept all clothing, shoes, household items, bedding, etc. 

 You are invited to an Open House, Sunday April 25 from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at Camp Gilmont, near Gilmer, in East Texas’ Piney woods.  This  Presbyterian Camp and Conference center, located 120 miles east of Dallas,  hosts camps for kids,  Presbytery youth events like KidQuake and YouthQuake as well as a  Women’s Retreat and a fall Senior Adult Retreat.  For a great outing and important information, come out for a beautiful spring afternoon to these 400 acres of forest and hills, acres which include marked trails, two lakes and  wildflowers!  Please bring a dessert to share. April 14, Wednesday Night Bible Study, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the McAllister’s, 4707 Weyhill Dr. Bring your Bible and a friend!

 April 16-18, SPRING YOUTH RETREAT at Brookhaven!   Parents drop off at Grace at 4:30 p.m.!  Pick up on the 18th at approximately 3:30 pm. 

No Youth Meeting on the Sunday, April 18.

 Sunday, April 25, Youth Led Worship games, GPC, 5:00-8:00 p.m.  THIS NIGHT IS MANDATORY if you plan to participate in Youth Led Worship!  Bring $3 for dinner!

SENIOR NIGHT!  May 2, 2010, 6:00-8:00 p.m.  GPC  Come help us honor our GPC Graduating High School Seniors with a sit-down Italian style dinner!  Youth, please be there at 5:00 p.m. to help set up!

PARENTS of Seniors:  We need your help!  Please send us photos of your Senior for our slideshow presentation asap!
