 We will have an All-Church Workday on Saturday, March 6 starting at 9:00 a.m.  We will have many projects to do to prepare the church and grounds for the Easter season and the arrival of our new pastor.  We will thoroughly clean the church and do some repair work.

 If you have good vacuum cleaners and 8 ft. ladders or step stools, bring them!

 Come and join the fun!

 Unity Service and Cantata will be Sunday, March 7.  Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. and Worship will begin at 10:30 a.m.

 Grace Presbyterian Church will celebrate its Silver Anniversary in April 2011.  Linda and Chip Black are leading the planning team for activities for surrounding the Anniversary.  The first planning session for the activities around the Silver Anniversary will be held Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Church.  If you have questions, ideas, or want to be kept in the loop, feel free to call Linda or Chip Black at 817-261-4223, or email Linda at lblack@wans.net or Chip at Wendell-black@wans.net.

The Pastor’s Office is Reforming! 

On Sunday, February 28, the Session approved moving the pastor’s office to room 100 to provide better privacy and to ensure confidentiality.

 Work has already begun. All furniture, wall hangings, and materials have been relocated to room 109 which is now functional as a meeting space.  The Soul Sisters Sunday School class will now be located there.  Room 100 is being prepared to be the new pastor’s office and will be fully functional when Rev. Sanders arrives on March 15.

 Room 100 was a very popular meeting room.  We have done our best to relocate meetings to other suitable meeting rooms and to communicate changes to the meeting moderators.  Please check the church calendar posted on the bulletin board for meeting room assignments.

 We would like to thank the Soul Sisters and all others involved for their understanding and cooperation as we make this change.

 The City of Arlington announces the formation of the new Community Relations Commission.  This commission was created to help identify programs and opportunities that build positive relationships in Arlington. Commission members will serve as ambassadors on Council-directed issues such as increasing civic involvement, fostering understanding among all people in the city, and encouraging more historically-underrepresented businesses to compete for city contracting opportunities.  Applications are available on the City of Arlington website at www.arlingtontx.gove/citizenboards/index.html.  The application deadline is March 8.  To learn about other volunteer service opportunities, visit the City’s web site for a complete listing of boards and commissions or call the Office of the Mayor and Council at 817-459-6122.
