Seder Meal: For the past several years, Grace has celebrated the Passover Seder meal on Maundy Thursday evening. The Seder meal tells the story of God’s actions in Hebrew history, bringing it out of the past and making it a present reality for everyone, since they personally become part of the story. The Passover Seder meal celebration is a wonderful teaching tool appealing to all the senses and involving everyone in the telling of the story of God. It represents the very best of communal liturgy. Again this year, we will be celebrating the Passover Seder meal on Maundy Thursday, April 1. The meal will begin at 6:00 p.m. and we will celebrate together in the sanctuary. A sign-up sheet is posted in the Narthex and we ask that anyone planning to attend be sure to sign-up, so that we will know how many tables to set up and much food to prepare. Please remember that this is a symbolic meal, not a full meal, so plan accordingly. A brief Maundy Thursday worship service with communion will follow the Seder and everyone is invited to attend this worship service, even if you don’t attend the Seder. If you would be willing to help with preparations for the Seder Meal, please contact Roger Perez or Barb McAllister. Thanks you so much.
Childcare for age’s infant-5 years will be available in the nursery for Maundy Thursday Service at 6:00 p.m. and Good Friday Service at 7:00 p.m.
