Women of Grace
October General Meeting

Thursday, October 15, 2009

7:00 p.m. at the church

A “mission” everyone can help with!

During our meetings throughout 2009-2010, The Women of Grace will gather together to help a specific group of people who are important to the life of our church.  For October, we have chosen to send our COLLEGE STUDENTS and MILITARY FRIENDS “care boxes”.

We need your help!

Our meeting will be a fun-filled time of preparing boxes to ship.  We need lots of “goodies” to fill these boxes. and we need help assembling the boxes.  Each box will also contain cards and personal notes from all of us.
Please bring items to the church by Thursday, October 15.  If you are unable to attend that night, you may leave the items next to the WOG table in the hallway.  Use your imagination, but here’s a sample of what we need:

Cookies ~ Gum ~ Mints ~ Candy ~ Microwave Popcorn ~ Rolls of Quarters ~ Stationery ~ Pens ~ Pencils ~ Highlighters

If you have any questions, please call Leslie Seggelink at 817-561-1951 or drop her an e-mail at leslieseggelink@sbcglobal.net

SEARCHING FOR MISSING BRANCHES

Have you noticed the giant Gracevine stretched across the narthex?  Is your branch connected to the vine?  The Vision Ministry along with the Session of Grace would like every member of the church to participate in the study of What You Do Best in the Body of Christ by Bruce Bugbee.  Even if you have not been participating in a Sunday school class do not be discouraged, there are still other ways for you to accomplish this goal.  You may check out a book from the library or get a copy from Joy Geppert and start reading!  We are offering dinner discussion groups and workshop opportunities for those who prefer a different format.  There is a signup sheet in the narthex.  We will contact you to discuss what would work best for you.  Sign up, start reading, and get on the Gracevine!
