God, who supplies seed for the sower and bread to eat, will also supply you with all the seed you need and will make it grow and produce a rich harvest from your generosity. 2 Corinthians 9-10 (TEV)
This scripture emphasizes our goal of spiritual growth for each member of the community at Grace – not simply raising a budget. We hope members at Grace will reflect on their spiritual gifts and how they can
be used to make a difference in God’s work at Grace and the surrounding community.
Come for the FUN … come for the FOOD … come for the FELLOWSHIP … come and GET CONNECTED to life at GRACE!
Food and Fellowship
Stay after the Stewardship Fair on October 4, 6:00 pm for a potluck dinner. Sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex.
SEARCHING FOR MISSING BRANCHES
Have you noticed the giant Gracevine stretched across the narthex? Is your branch connected to the vine? The Vision Ministry along with the Session of Grace would like every member of the church to participate in the study of What You Do Best in the Body of Christ by Bruce Bugbee. Even if you have not been participating in a Sunday school class do not be discouraged, there are still other ways for you to accomplish this goal. You may check out a book from the library or get a copy from Joy Geppert and start reading! We are offering dinner discussion groups and workshop opportunities for those who prefer a different format. There is a signup sheet in the narthex. We will contact you to discuss what would work best for you. Sign up, start reading, and get on the Gracevine!
New Day needs individual serving size of vegetables.
Dick and Joan Townsend recently returned from Auburn, New York, where they attended the funeral of Dick Townsend’s brother, Fred Townsend. Thank you everyone for your cards, thoughts and prayers for my family during this difficult time. Your caring and thoughtful expressions of sympathy were great appreciated by all.
Janet Hammond is turning 90 on Sunday, September 20! Let’s help Janet celebrate by bringing a birthday card to church this Sunday or if you won’t be here put one in the mail!
